About the TC77
The TC77ex-NI is BARTEC's explosion-protected version of the Zebra TC77 touch computer. It is approved for ATEX/IECEx/UKEX Zone 2/22 and NEC Class I, II, III Division 2, not Zone 1. It suits refineries, chemical plants, pharma units and other sites where field staff need 4G LTE calls, data, push-to-talk and barcode scanning inside Zone 2 areas.
BARTEC states that no functional changes were made for explosion protection, so Zebra's tools and apps for the TC77 also work on the TC77ex-NI. It has a 4.7-inch HD display, an SE4770 imager, a 13 MP camera and IP65/IP68 sealing, and runs Android 14. Unlike the standard TC77 on this site, it must only be used with original BARTEC accessories, and the battery must be changed outside the hazardous area.

Is the TC77ex-NI still available?
BARTEC lists the TC77ex-NI as end of life, with only a few units available. BARTEC's current Zone 2/22 touch computer is the TC78ex-NI. Contact us for service on existing devices or a quote.
Is the TC77ex-NI approved for Zone 1?
No. BARTEC approves it for ATEX/IECEx/UKEX Zone 2/22 and NEC Class I, II, III Division 2 only. Zone 1/21 areas need a Zone 1 certified device.
What is the difference between the TC77ex-NI and the standard Zebra TC77?
The TC77ex-NI is BARTEC's certified version of the TC77 for Zone 2/22 hazardous areas. It works the same way, but it must be used only with original BARTEC accessories, and the battery must be changed and charged outside the hazardous area.
Will our Zebra apps and Android software run on it?
Yes. BARTEC states that all tools and applications available from Zebra for the TC77 are compatible with the TC77ex-NI. We can help set it up with your software.
Do you provide service for ATEX mobile computers?
Yes. We supply the device, set it up with your software and provide repair and service and AMC, with PAN India support.
