About the MC93ex
The MC93ex-NI is a gun-style mobile computer with a physical keypad, developed by BARTEC in close cooperation with Zebra Technologies. It is approved for ATEX/IECEx Zone 2/22 and UL/NEC Class I, II, III Division 2, not Zone 1. It suits warehouses, tank farms, chemical plants and refineries where staff scan all day in Zone 2 areas.
It runs Android 14 on a Snapdragon 660 and takes a 7000 mAh battery. The SE4850-ER extended range imager reads barcodes up to 21.4 m away, for scanning high racks and yard labels, while the SE4770-SR suits closer work. Keypads range from 29 to 53 keys, including a terminal emulation layout. Unlike the standard MC9300 on this site, it is certified for hazardous areas.
Best For
- Warehouse picking and put-away in Zone 2/22 areas
- Scanning high racks with the SE4850-ER extended range imager
- Drum, container and batch tracking in chemical plants
- Terminal emulation apps with a full physical keypad
