Barcode Scanners
A barcode scanner reads 1D and 2D barcodes and sends the data to a computer, POS system or ERP, replacing manual data entry at billing counters, warehouses, production lines and hospitals.

Mobile Computers
A mobile computer is a rugged handheld device that combines a barcode scanner, touchscreen and wireless connectivity, usually on Android, so workers can capture data and update the ERP in real time.

RFID Scanners
An RFID scanner, or RFID reader, uses radio waves to read and write RFID tags without line of sight, so many tagged items can be read at once.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will a barcode scanner work with my billing or ERP software?
Most USB scanners work as a keyboard input, so they enter data into any software field. A' Niche Solutions also integrates barcode scanning with SAP HANA, Oracle and custom ERP systems for inventory and dispatch workflows.
What is the difference between RFID and barcode scanning?
A barcode scanner reads one printed code at a time and needs a clear line of sight. An RFID reader uses radio waves, reads tags without seeing them and can read many tags in one pass, which makes stock counts much faster.
What is the difference between a mobile computer and a smartphone?
A mobile computer has a dedicated barcode scan engine, a rugged body built to survive drops and dust, longer-lasting and often replaceable batteries and enterprise management tools. A consumer smartphone camera is slower and less reliable for scanning barcodes all day.
Do you supply consumables for printers bought elsewhere?
A' Niche Solutions supplies labels, ribbons and consumables for barcode printers. Share your printer model, label size and the surface being labelled. We will suggest a compatible label and ribbon.
Do you repair barcode printers?
Yes. A' Niche Solutions offers barcode printer repair and service. We also supply spare parts such as printheads and platen rollers for Zebra and TSC printers, so worn parts can be replaced instead of the whole printer.
