About the Zebra ZE511
The Zebra ZE511 is a 4-inch print engine, a printing unit made to be built into print and apply labelling systems on production and packing lines. It prints by thermal transfer or direct thermal at 203 dpi, with 300 dpi and 600 dpi options, and comes in right-hand and left-hand versions to suit the direction of the line. It suits packaging, warehouse and manufacturing lines automating carton and product labels.
It prints up to 18 ips at 203 dpi in direct thermal mode (14 ips in thermal transfer), has a 4.3-inch colour touch screen that can be mounted up to two metres away, and a fanless enclosure that resists dust and water splashes. RFID encoding can be added in the field. Its 6-inch sibling is the ZE521, and the TSC PEX-2240L/R on our site is another 4-inch print engine.

What is the difference between the ZE511 and ZE521?
The ZE511 is the 4-inch model with a 104 mm print width and the ZE521 is the 6-inch model with a 168 mm print width. The 600 dpi option and the high-speed printhead for printing faster than 14 ips are available on the ZE511 only.
How is the ZE511 different from the older ZE500?
Zebra built the ZE511 as the next step for the ZE500 Series, with faster print speeds, a 4.3-inch colour touch screen, field-installable RFID encoding and onboard analytics to plan maintenance.
Can the ZE511 fit into our existing print and apply system?
It has an applicator interface, comes in right-hand and left-hand versions and runs ZPL. Share details of your applicator and line, and we will check the fit and handle installation and integration.
Can the ZE511 encode RFID labels?
Yes, with Zebra's UHF field-installable RFID kit, which is available for both the 4-inch and 6-inch print widths.
Do you supply ribbons and labels and service print engines?
Yes. We supply paper, polyester and direct thermal labels and wax, wax-resin and resin ribbons, and offer repair, printhead and platen roller replacement and AMC with PAN India support.
