About the TC53 / TC58 Mobile Computers
The Zebra TC53 and TC58 are rugged Android mobile computers with a 6-inch Full HD display, a Qualcomm 6490 octa-core processor and a built-in 1D/2D scan engine. They are built for heavy all-day use in retail, warehousing, manufacturing, logistics and field service. The TC53 connects over Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth. The TC58 is the cellular model and adds 5G data and voice, a nano SIM plus an eSIM and GPS.
The TC53/TC58 sits above the TC22/TC27 on this site. It has a faster octa-core processor, a wider operating temperature of -20°C to 50°C and a tougher drop rating of multiple 1.8 m drops to concrete with its boot. It is also the natural upgrade from the older TC51/TC56 and TC57. For lighter-duty work with the same 6-inch screen size, the TC22/TC27 is the alternative.

Should we choose the TC53/TC58 or the TC22/TC27?
Both have a 6-inch screen and IP68 sealing. The TC53/TC58 has a faster octa-core processor, a wider -20°C to 50°C operating range and a 1.8 m drop rating, so it suits heavier use. The TC22/TC27 suits lighter-duty work.
Can the TC53 scan barcodes at a distance, such as on high racks?
Yes, when ordered with the SE55 advanced range scan engine, which reads barcodes both close up and at a distance. The SE4720 engine is the standard range option.
Will our existing Android WMS or ERP app work on the TC53/TC58?
The TC53/TC58 runs Android, so Android and browser-based apps can run on it. Scanned data can be passed to the app as keyboard input, which most WMS and ERP apps accept.
