About the TC51/TC56
The Zebra TC51 and TC56 are rugged all-touch Android mobile computers with a 5-inch HD display and a built-in SE4710 1D/2D imager. The TC51 connects over Wi-Fi and the TC56 adds 4G LTE voice and data. They were built for retail, warehouse and field teams that wanted smartphone-style handling with business-grade scanning.
Both use a Snapdragon 650 processor, are IP67 and IP65 sealed and survive multiple 1.2 m drops (1.8 m with the rugged boot). The standard 4300 mAh battery is removable. Zebra followed them with the TC52/TC57, and the TC57 and TC53/TC58 on this site are the newer choices for new deployments. Is the TC51/TC56 still supported by Zebra?
No. Zebra's support pages show a last sale date of 30 May 2021 and a service and support discontinuation date of 30 July 2025. Zebra lists the TC52 and TC52X as the replacement for the TC51, and its TC5X series for the TC56. Contact us about your existing devices or a quote on a current model such as the TC53/TC58.
What is the difference between the TC51 and TC56?
The TC51 is Wi-Fi only, with 2x2 MIMO Wi-Fi. The TC56 adds 4G LTE voice and data, a nano SIM slot and GPS.
Should we replace our TC51/TC56 devices?
Zebra no longer provides support for them, so for new deployments or security updates a current model is the safer choice. The TC53/TC58 on this site keeps the same all-touch format with a newer platform.
Can you service our existing TC51/TC56 fleet?
