About the EC55 Enterprise Mobile Computer
The Zebra EC55 is a thin, pocket-sized Android mobile computer with a 5-inch HD touchscreen, a built-in SE4100 1D/2D scanner and 4G LTE. It is meant to be assigned to one person, such as a store associate, supervisor or field worker who needs a phone, a scanner and push-to-talk in one device. The EC50 is the Wi-Fi only version of the same device.
It weighs 173 to 183 g, is IP67 sealed and survives 1.2 m drops to concrete (1.5 m with the protective boot). A snap-on trigger helps with longer scanning sessions, and it supports a full workstation mode through a cradle. Compared with the TC22/TC27 on this site, which Zebra now lists as its replacement, the EC55 is slimmer and lighter but has a smaller screen and battery.

Ask Us a QuestionIs the EC55 still sold by Zebra?
No. Zebra's support page shows a last sale date of 30 June 2025 and a service and support discontinuation date of 30 August 2029. Zebra lists the TC22 and TC27 as replacements. Contact us for service on existing EC55 devices or a quote on the TC22/TC27.
What is the difference between the EC50 and EC55?
The EC50 is Wi-Fi only. The EC55 adds 4G LTE with a nano SIM slot (and optional eSIM), GPS and an e-compass, so it works for calls and data away from the site network.
Is the EC55 suitable for heavy scanning work?
It has a built-in SE4100 imager and an optional snap-on trigger for longer scanning sessions. For full-shift, high-volume scanning a larger device such as the TC53/TC58 or MC3300 is usually a better fit.
Can we use the EC55 with our Android sales or ERP app?
Yes. It runs Android, so Android apps and browser-based systems can run on it, and scanned data can be passed to the app. We can help set it up with your software.
Do you repair EC55 devices?
Yes. We provide repair and service and AMC for mobile computers, with PAN India support.
