The Zebra ZT231 is a 4-inch industrial label printer with a metal frame and metal enclosures, built for light industrial use. It prints up to 12 ips at 203 dpi and 8 ips at 300 dpi, and suits businesses adopting barcode labelling for the first time or replacing older printers, in manufacturing, warehouses, retail and hospital labs.

About the Zebra ZT231 Printer
It has a 4.3-inch colour touch screen with setup wizards, USB, serial, Ethernet and USB Host as standard, and it takes 450 m ribbons. RFID, Wi-Fi and a cutter or peeler can be added in the field. The ZT111 on our site is the simpler entry model with a button keypad and 10 ips speed, while the ZT411 is the step up for heavier use.

What is the difference between the ZT231 and the ZT111?
The ZT231 prints up to 12 ips at 203 dpi and has a 4.3-inch colour touch screen and metal enclosures. The ZT111 prints up to 10 ips with a three-button keypad and plastic enclosures. The ZT231 also offers an RFID kit and applicator interface, which the ZT111 does not list.
Should we choose the ZT231 or the ZT411?
The ZT231 suits light industrial volumes. The ZT411 prints up to 14 ips, offers a 600 dpi option for very small labels and comes in a 6-inch version, the ZT421, for wider labels.
Can the ZT231 replace a printer of another brand without changing our labels?
Zebra supports Printer Emulations on the ZT231 to replace other brands without changing label formats. It also runs ZPL and EPL (EPL on 203 dpi models).
Can the ZT231 print RFID labels?
Yes, with the UHF RFID kit, which can be installed in the field.
Do you supply ribbons and labels for the ZT231?
Yes. We supply paper, polyester and direct thermal labels and wax, wax-resin and resin ribbons for it, and we offer AMC and repair, including printhead and platen roller replacement.
