About the Zebra ZD510 HC Wristband printer
The Zebra ZD510-HC is a direct thermal printer built only for wristbands. Staff drop in a cartridge of Zebra Z-Band wristbands and print, and a smart chip in the cartridge calibrates the printer automatically. It prints at 300 dpi and suits hospital admission desks and wards that need patient ID wristbands with barcodes that scan reliably. Zebra also offers Z-Band wristbands for amusement parks, water parks, events and resorts.
The housing is disinfectant-ready and UV-resistant, and the power supply is IEC 60601-1 compliant for use in healthcare. Direct thermal printing means there is no ribbon holding patient data. It comes with Ethernet, USB, USB Host and Bluetooth Low Energy, and it speaks ZPL. The ZD620-HC on our site is a 4-inch healthcare desktop printer that handles labels as well as wristband stock from rolls. The ZD510-HC prints wristbands only, from cartridges.

The ZD510-HC prints wristbands only, loaded as cartridges that calibrate the printer automatically. A healthcare desktop printer such as the ZD620-HC prints specimen, pharmacy and other labels from rolls as well as wristband stock.
Will it work with our hospital information system?
It uses ZPL, so wristband formats made for Zebra printers carry over. Zebra has validated it with ADT systems such as Epic, Cerner and Allscripts. We can set it up with your HIS during installation.
Can we replace an old Zebra HC100 with the ZD510-HC?
Yes. Zebra designed it for easy migration from its desktop printers, including the HC100, because it supports ZPL natively.
What wristband sizes can it print?
It prints on Zebra Z-Band wristbands in infant, child and adult sizes, with adhesive or clip closures, at print widths of 19.05 mm, 25.4 mm and 30.16 mm.
Do you offer AMC and repair for the ZD510-HC?
