Zebra 220Xi4
The Zebra 220Xi4 is an all-metal industrial label printer made for wide labels. It takes media up to 224 mm wide and prints up to 216 mm wide, at up to 10 ips at 203 dpi or 6 ips at 300 dpi, in thermal transfer or direct thermal mode. Zebra designed it for chemical drum labels and other wide label work, and it suits factories, chemical plants and warehouses that print large labels through the day.

About the Zebra 220Xi4
It takes media rolls up to 203 mm across on a 76 mm core and ribbons up to 450 m long. USB 2.0, serial, parallel and Ethernet come as standard, and it runs ZPL. Zebra no longer sells the 220Xi4 and names the ZT620 as its replacement. For narrower labels, the ZT411/ZT421 and ZT611 on our site are current Zebra industrial printers.

Is the Zebra 220Xi4 still available?
Zebra no longer sells the 220Xi4 and lists the ZT620 as its replacement. Zebra lists service and support for the 220Xi4 until February 2031, and we continue to repair and maintain existing units.
What label widths does the 220Xi4 handle?
It takes media from 108 mm to 224 mm wide and prints up to 216 mm wide. Zebra recommends its ZT610 or ZT620 for high-volume printing when the print width is under 168 mm.
Will our existing label formats print on the 220Xi4?
It uses ZPL and ZPL II, the same programming language as other Zebra printers, so ZPL formats can usually be reused. It also prints from Windows software through Zebra's ZDesigner driver.
Do you supply wide labels and ribbons for the 220Xi4?
Yes. We supply paper, polyester and direct thermal labels and wax, wax-resin and resin ribbons. Tell us your label size and material and we will suggest the right ribbon.
Do you repair 220Xi4 printers?
