About the ZD620-HC
The Zebra ZD620-HC is the healthcare version of the ZD620 4-inch desktop printer. It prints up to 104 mm wide at 203 dpi or 108 mm at 300 dpi, at up to 8 ips, and comes in direct thermal and thermal transfer models. It suits hospital pharmacies, labs, wards and blood banks that print prescriptions, specimen labels, patient wristbands and blood and IV bag labels.
The housing uses disinfectant-ready, UV-resistant plastics with a sealed button interface, and the power supply is IEC 60601-1 compliant. Options include a colour LCD with 10 buttons, a battery for printing from a cart and a locking media cabinet for blank prescription forms. The standard ZD620 on our site lacks these healthcare features, the ZD510-HC prints wristbands only from cartridges, and the ZD621 is Zebra's newer desktop model.

What is the difference between the ZD620-HC and the standard ZD620?
Print speed and resolution are the same. The ZD620-HC adds disinfectant-ready, UV-resistant plastics, a sealed button interface and an IEC 60601-1 compliant power supply, and it offers a locking media cabinet for prescription forms on the direct thermal model with LCD.
Which disinfectants can be used on the ZD620-HC?
Zebra publishes a list of approved cleaning agents in its guide to disinfecting and cleaning Zebra healthcare printers. Use the agents on that list to avoid damage to the housing.
Will it work with our hospital or lab software?
It supports ZPL and EPL, so formats built for other Zebra printers can usually be reused, and its Virtual Devices feature can run languages used by other printer brands. We can set it up with your HIS or LIS during installation.
Can the ZD620-HC print from a medication cart?
Yes, with the optional removable battery, which Zebra rates for a full shift of printing at maximum print speed.
Do you supply labels and ribbons and repair the ZD620-HC?
Yes. We supply paper, polyester and direct thermal labels and wax, wax-resin and resin ribbons. We also repair the printer, including printhead and platen roller replacement, and offer AMC with PAN India support.
