About the TSC TTP 244 PRO
The TSC TTP 244 Pro is a 4 inch desktop barcode label printer that prints at 203 dpi in both thermal transfer and direct thermal modes. It prints labels up to 108 mm wide at up to 5 inches per second and connects to a PC over USB 2.0 or RS-232. It suits shipping and receiving desks, retail shelf and product labels, asset tags and inventory labels in offices, shops and small warehouses.
It takes a 300 metre ribbon on a 1 inch core and holds a 110 mm label roll inside the cover, with an optional external roll mount for 214 mm rolls on a 3 inch core. Its TSPL-EZ firmware is compatible with EPL, ZPL and ZPL II. The TE244 on our site is the faster 6 ips model with a larger internal roll but USB only as standard, and the TTP 345 prints at 300 dpi for finer print.

What is the difference between the TTP 244 Pro and the TE244?
Both are 203 dpi, 4 inch desktop printers. The TE244 prints faster (6 ips against 5 ips) and holds a larger 127 mm roll inside, while the TTP 244 Pro has both USB and RS-232 ports as standard and an optional SD card reader for extra memory.
Can the TTP 244 Pro print labels designed for Zebra printers?
Its TSPL-EZ firmware is compatible with the EPL, ZPL and ZPL II printer languages used by Zebra printers. Test your existing label formats on it before a full changeover.
Can it print QR codes and 2D barcodes?
Yes. Along with common 1D barcodes such as Code 128, EAN and UPC, it prints 2D codes including QR Code, DataMatrix, PDF417, Maxicode and Aztec.
Is the TTP 244 Pro suitable for high volume printing?
It is a desktop printer with a plastic enclosure, a 110 mm internal roll and a top speed of 5 ips. For long print runs on the shop floor, the TSC MB240T light industrial printer prints at up to 10 ips and holds 8 inch label rolls.
Do you supply labels and ribbons and service the TTP 244 Pro?
Yes. We supply paper, polyester and direct thermal labels along with wax, wax-resin and resin ribbons to suit it. We also repair the printer, replace printheads and platen rollers and offer AMC.
