TSC TE 244
The TSC TE244 is a 4 inch desktop barcode label printer that prints at 203 dpi in thermal transfer and direct thermal modes. It prints up to 108 mm wide at up to 6 inches per second and connects over USB 2.0. It suits shipping and receiving labels, retail price tags and shelf labels, item and instruction labels in small factories and pharmacy or file labels.

About the TSC TE 244
Inside it holds a 127 mm label roll and takes either a 300 metre ribbon on a 1 inch core or a shorter ribbon on a 0.5 inch core. Its TSPL-EZ firmware is compatible with EPL, ZPL and ZPL II, and it is ENERGY STAR qualified. Compared with the TTP 244 Pro, it is faster and holds a larger roll inside, but has USB only as standard. The TTP 345 is the choice for 300 dpi print.

What is the difference between the TE244 and the TTP 244 Pro?
The TE244 prints at up to 6 ips against 5 ips and holds a 127 mm roll inside against 110 mm. The TTP 244 Pro has an RS-232 port as well as USB and an optional SD card reader, while the TE244 has USB only as standard.
Does the TE244 need a network connection?
No. It connects to a single PC over USB 2.0. It has no Ethernet port, so for printing from several PCs over a network, look at a model with Ethernet such as the TSC MB240T.
Can the TE244 print labels made for Zebra printers?
Its TSPL-EZ firmware is compatible with EPL, ZPL and ZPL II. Test your existing label formats on it before switching over.
Can it print QR codes?
Yes. It prints QR Code, GS1 DataMatrix, PDF417 and other 2D codes as well as common 1D barcodes such as Code 128, EAN and UPC.
Do you supply labels and ribbons for the TE244?
Yes. We supply paper, polyester and direct thermal labels and wax, wax-resin and resin ribbons to suit it. We also repair the printer, replace printheads and platen rollers and offer AMC.
