About the Honeywell EDA51
The Honeywell ScanPal EDA51 is an Android mobile computer with a built-in barcode scanner, a 5 inch touchscreen and a smartphone-style design. It reads 1D and 2D barcodes, including damaged ones, and has a 13 megapixel camera for proof of delivery photos. Honeywell built it for small and medium businesses in light duty retail, direct store delivery, pickup and delivery and field service.
It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor and a removable 4,000 mAh battery rated for 12 hours. It is sealed to IP64 and rated for multiple 1.2 m drops to concrete. It can use ScanPal EDA50 batteries, chargers and accessories. For a larger screen, the Honeywell EDA71 on our site is a 7 inch enterprise tablet from the same ScanPal family.

Is the EDA51 available with a SIM for use outside Wi-Fi?
Yes. WWAN models support 4G LTE for use away from Wi-Fi, which suits delivery and field staff. Wi-Fi only models are also available.
Can we use our old EDA50 batteries and chargers with the EDA51?
Yes. Honeywell states the EDA51 is backward compatible with ScanPal EDA50 accessories, batteries and chargers.
What is the difference between the EDA51 and the EDA71?
The EDA51 is a pocket-sized handheld with a 5 inch screen. The EDA71 is a 7 inch enterprise tablet for users who need more screen space.
