About the Honeywell CT40xp
The Honeywell CT40 XP is an Android mobile computer with a 5 inch full HD touchscreen and a built-in barcode imager. Honeywell designed it for store associates and mobile workers, for tasks such as inventory lookup, in-store merchandising and last mile delivery. It has a 13 megapixel autofocus rear camera and an 8 megapixel front camera, so it can also be used for delivery photos, group training and remote inspection.
It runs on a 2.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor with 4 GB RAM and is built on Honeywell's Mobility Edge platform. The battery can be warm swapped without switching the device off, and the housing is certified to IP67 and IP65. With the FlexRange imager it reads barcodes from a few centimetres up to 10 m. Compared with the Honeywell EDA51 on this site, the CT40 XP is the more rugged, higher specification option.

What is the difference between the CT40 XP and the EDA51?
Both are 5 inch Android handhelds. The CT40 XP has a faster Snapdragon 660 processor, a full HD screen, IP67 sealing and the option of a FlexRange imager that reads up to 10 m. The EDA51 is sealed to IP64 and suits lighter duty work.
Can the CT40 XP scan barcodes on high shelves?
Yes, with the FlexRange imager. Honeywell rates it from a few centimetres up to 10 m (32.8 ft).
Do we have to switch the device off to change the battery?
No. The CT40 XP supports warm swap, so the battery can be changed without powering off the operating system.
Will the CT40 XP work with our Android app and MDM?
It runs Android, and Honeywell states it works with third-party applications such as MDM, push to talk and VoIP software. We can set it up with your software.
Do you provide AMC for CT40 XP devices?
