The HR15 Wahoo Bluetooth combines Newland's own UIMG decoding with our latest linear imager scanning technology to produce snappy scanning on 1D codes. Printed or displayed on a variety of materials the Wahoo scans at a distance and speed closer to the performance expected from that of laser scanners than from traditional CCD.

About the Newland HR15
The Newland HR15 Wahoo Bluetooth is a cordless handheld 1D barcode scanner. It uses a 2500 pixel CCD linear imager with Newland's own UIMG decoding, and Newland says it reads 1D codes at a distance and speed closer to a laser scanner than to a traditional CCD scanner. It reads codes printed on labels or shown on a screen, and suits shops, stockrooms and small warehouses that use only 1D barcodes.
It connects to its base over Bluetooth 5.0 at up to 50 m, and up to seven scanners can pair with one base. When out of range it stores up to 15,000 codes and uploads them when back in range, so it can also be used as a batch data collector. The HR15 reads 1D codes only. The Newland HR32 Wireless Scanner on this site is the cordless 2D model for QR codes.

Can the HR15 scan QR codes?
No. The HR15 uses a linear imager and reads 1D barcodes only. For QR codes, choose a 2D scanner such as the Newland HR32.
Can several HR15 scanners share one computer?
Yes. Bluetooth 5.0 allows up to seven scanners to pair with a single base station, which sends the data to one host.
Is the HR15 Wahoo Bluetooth still available?
Newland's EMEA website lists the HR15 Wahoo Bluetooth as discontinued from 20 February 2024 and recommends the HR15 Wahoo BT SD as the alternative. Newland lists service and support for existing units until 20 February 2029.
