About the LI4278 Handheld Scanner
The Zebra LI4278 is a cordless handheld linear imager for 1D barcodes. It connects to its cradle over Bluetooth, and the cradle connects to the computer over USB, RS232, keyboard wedge or IBM RS485. It reads 1D barcodes on paper labels and on mobile phone, tablet and computer screens, which suits retail billing counters and stock rooms where staff scan items away from the counter.
Zebra rates it at up to 57,000 scans and 72 hours of operation per full charge, with a replaceable battery. Batch mode stores over 500 UPC barcodes when the scanner is out of range and uploads them when it returns. It reads 1D barcodes only, so for QR codes the cordless DS2278 is the option. The LI2208 is the corded 1D linear imager on this site.

Can the LI4278 read QR codes?
No. The LI4278 reads 1D barcodes only, on paper and on screens. For a cordless scanner that reads QR codes, look at the DS2278.
What happens if the scanner goes out of Bluetooth range?
In batch mode the LI4278 can store over 500 UPC barcodes in memory and upload them automatically when it comes back into range.
Can one cradle work with more than one scanner?
Yes. Zebra supports up to three scanners on a single desktop cradle and up to seven on a presentation cradle.
Will the LI4278 work with our existing LS4278 cradles?
Yes. Zebra states that the LI4278 is backward compatible with LS4278 cradles and uses the same accessories as the LS4278 and DS6878.
Do you offer AMC and repair for the LI4278?
