About the TSC Printer Platen Roller
The platen roller is the rubber roller that sits under the printhead in a thermal label printer. It presses the label against the head and moves it through the printer. This page covers replacement platen rollers for TSC desktop and industrial label printers, for users whose TSC printer has started giving faded or patchy print or feeding labels unevenly.
Each TSC printer model uses its own roller, so the roller for a desktop model such as the TTP 244 Pro is not the same as the one for an industrial model such as the MB240T or MX640P. Tell us your TSC printer model and we will quote the matching roller.
Best For
- TSC desktop and industrial label printers
- Printers with faded or patchy print
- Rollers that are cut, worn or hardened
- Planned roller replacement under an AMC

How do I know the platen roller needs replacing?
Common signs are faded or patchy print, marks that repeat on every label and labels that slip or do not feed straight. Clean the roller first. If the problem stays, the roller is worn or damaged.
Is the same roller used on all TSC printers?
No. Rollers are specific to the printer model. Send us the model from the printer label and we will quote the right part.
Could the problem be the printhead rather than the roller?
Yes. A worn printhead and a worn roller can both cause poor print, so the printer should be checked to find which part is at fault before anything is replaced.
Can you replace the roller for us?
Yes. We replace platen rollers and printheads as part of our printer repair and service work, and we offer AMC with PAN India support.
